DMC - Superior Quality, Exemplary Service
Founded in 2011, Dutchman Manufacturing Company, LLC (DMC) was started with the vision that offering discerning customers superior quality, exemplary service at competitive pricing would continuously attract mutually beneficial opportunities. Focused on the mid-to-high volume machining of non-ferrous near net shapes, primarily sand castings and forgings, DMC has built its reputation as a leader of precision production machining one part at a time.
Located in scenic Leelanau county, near Traverse City, Michigan, DMC utilizes the latest in advanced machining equipment and specializes in the use of robot tended multitasking machines. These eight axis, dual spindle/turret lathes complete all parts in a single set-up assuring the quickest throughput and highest quality while requiring minimal direct labor. Operating in a temperature-controlled environment, these machines are laser calibrated and ballbar certified at regular intervals to ensure capabilities are at or above the manufacturer’s specifications.
ISO-9001 certified since inception, DMC added product design and assembly to its offerings in 2014 as it produced its first line of Storz fittings for the fire hydrant OEM market. Shortly thereafter in 2015, another machine was installed to service the growing demand for custom engineered products and services. In 2020, DMC launched a new, patent pending, Storz design revolutionizing the market. Offering first responders and waterworks personnel alike a best in class, 350 psi rated Storz fitting which lasts longer and has a lower maintenance/product life cost than global alternatives. Using a 100% domestic, 100% made in Michigan supply chain, DMC is well positioned to respond to the ongoing needs of the fire protection OEMs.
